awesome

I vote for this game to have newgrounds achievements :)

oh and awesome unexplored concept to (killing little furry creatures) sadistic but funny.

long synaps

you did a good job overall as expected there are errors but your only human.

here's a list of what would generally be seen as an error

1.\ you spelled scenario wrong.

2.\ the background interferes with the color of the words at its brightest point.

3.\ (Question 2) zombies are controlled by the virus and their basic instincts, in short, their only "task" is to feed. "human flesh" would be a better answer

4.\ (Question 13) none of them are a good choice, you'd be unable to carry more then 2 or 3 clips with the uzi and ak47 not to mention the ammo would be rare and both are spray guns. Meaning your average user would throw them both in automatic and empty a full clip in only a few zombies.

The magnum takes far to long to reload and will result in getting you killed.

the shotgun while popular has the heaviest of all ammo types and will result in you getting killed on a reload.

The best gun, is the gun you can reload fast that has farely common or light weight ammo.

5.\ (Question 17) be more specific on what aim site it is or show a picture. I had very little idea what you ment by "the prong and the box"

6.\ (Question 22) a small noise such as a knock or tap would cause zombies in the room to moan or grunt as a reaction. Sense taps and light knocks arn't that loud it shouldn't alert any other zombies in the building.

7.\ (Question 23) while it is unwise to fight a zombie hand to hand, this situation would require it, because it is even more unwise to run into the unknown unarmed. the crowbar is the best choice

8.\(Question 25) You should specify how many or how far away. there are some cases where it would just be a waste of ammo altogether.

9.\(Question 26) This assumes you took the time to clear out buildings around your safe zone its also assuming that zombies didn't re-inhabit those buildings.

10.\(Question 28) Breaking a roof support would be unwise and probly wouldn't kill all the zombies. It could also block you from reaching the vital supplies. shooting them is the best option if any.

11.\(Question 30) Assuming you have lots of ammo it would be possible to kill enough to the point the hallway would be blocked off to them, shooting through the safety window would be the best answer (you should also specify ammo)

12.\ You assume that being out for the shortest amount of time at night is a universal no or that zombies only come out at night which is false. Zombies roam at all times of day with no difference in numbers it is merely easier to detect them during the day.

and finally I'd just like to say that any kind of zombie requires electricity from the brain to remain mobile and effective. electric pulses that die about 2 months after a person dies. And without these pulses the body will die completly even though the virus may still be harmful.

So even if Z-day happens we can all take comfort that it would only take 2 months (educated guess) for the "recently deceased" to simply "die" all over again.

The run-down

overall the game was good, there were some unique characters and objectives but I can't be nice all day now can I?

Porblems
vvvvvvvvv

1. After buying the turret and the clip size upgrade for it, it causes the turret "as a weapon" to glitch entirely and to go into an endless reload loop, the other weapons also experience this and sometimes use more ammo then their clip permits, even though its in its "reload action"

2. Bosses were extremly easy. I had no problems dodging any of they're attacks and sometimes beat them without even being hit. I suggest leaving the "swarms of zombies" around to harrass you while you try to beat the boss at the same time.

3. Some weapons were to under-powered to be useful. I.E. the light machine gun was to under-powered even after you got the "bullet hose" perk it was to weak. taking nearly 100 rounds to kill a giant spider. it was rather useless against bosses.

4. The green zombies (or radioactive zombies) exp take isn't equal to the amount of damage they take. It takes about 3 or 4 sniper shots to kill one and each one only gives you about 100exp apposed to the ones that can shoot you and go down much easier that give about 150exp a piece.

5. The game overall seems short. It took about 2 or 3 hours to complete but the "day system" made it feel as though I were playing a bunch of minigames instead.

6. More guns could have been used/bought

7. turrets become uselessly underpowered after the 3rd boss.

8. laser is underpowered. the Guass rifle appears to do more damage.

(9 errr I think). cruddy ending (I was expecting a rescue but then again this is "Endless zombie rampage" so I shouldn't complain)

Good stuff.

1. Strong atmosphere really immerses the player into the game.

2. Good selection of weapons, not to mention the much loved sniper rifle.

3. A Diverse and numerous enemy. always a pleasure to be different

4. nice selection of perks

5. Realalistic objectives (you won't survive without supplies, You'd have to keep the zombie population down else be overrun, you have to find survivors else be overrun still)

6. Good A.I. I didn't encounter any zombies that didn't do what they were supposed to. they were all out to get me and thats how it should be.

7. Original bosses. I would mention them but for the sake of the gamers I won't.

8. Easy Controls

9. Easy shop interface

10. Fluctuating difficulty it seemed to get randomly easier and harder as the days went on, hardest objectives were to save survivors.

11. original and realistic survivors. While I don't agree with the first 2 bums I do like the rest my fav being the goth girl.

Commentary.
Good game with lots of room for improvement. I deffinently expect to see a 3rd

Pure awesome

added to "Gadgets" section.

this is incredibly useful for making guns for flash games. incase some of you didn't know you can hit "prntscrn" on the keyboard and past it into any art program, after that just delete the background and walla you got a useable gun.

thanks alot for the neat gadget thousands of combinations, I'll definently be using this in the future.

desertthunder responds:

Awesome!

advice

It has potential to be good.

looks like it needs at least a health bar.

I have a script you can use for that if you want, after that all you need to put is "If (Health.txt = 0) gotoAndPlay (Gameover)"

I'm not the best artist but I'm working on platformers right now, and like all platformers. HP and LIVES are required.

this game can survive without a HP bar, the blast radius for the gun just needs to be about a cm or 2 bigger otherwise you have to be extremly careful on sudden movements.

its not bad though. I enjoyed it.

useful

to the idiots below.

This was not ment to be fun, it was ment to be useful, because some people are not fully aware of the procedure for "creating acheivements" in flashes and on newgrounds.

And its alot faster, instead of drawing your own messy template you put this up there and it looks just fine matching all the other achievement markers.

Thanks for the gadget "faved for future use"

Well, you, my friend, know how to review a submission. You practically summarized my intension in four sentences. Kudos to you:D

Overall Great

Great game, the story is solid, the graphics are next to awesome and its got that left-4-dead feel to it. also noticing francis louis and bill lol.

bill was cool but way to slow, he was only useful for his gun. good thing to cause I camp, I don't try to hack and slash my way through a horde.

I did experiance a small problem with the grenade launcher, when I was being swarmed and had to reload, it would take 5 times as long to reload and the zombies would still be attacking at normal speed. giving them more then enough time to obliterate my stone barricades.

no other gun I used experianced this problem.

besides that small thing it was pretty much flawless.

oh and lol at ivy, she has a pea-shooter it might be useful to be able to equip the mercinaries with different weapons. after the 1st stage ivy is useless and that 5k is gone for good.

good

Good for your first game, just a tip.

Don't release a game till your sure there are no problems with it.

Note: To fix the boat glitch right click and his "back" twice, this will move the game back to the explanation of that lvl.

and lastly, zelda's a great game, everyones played it and enjoyed it at least once in their lives.

You did really well for your first game.

lol at comments

you people need to pay more attention. he's only been working on it for about a month and its mostly coding.

as far as coding goes the game is flawless so far. yes graphics could be better because people pay more attention to what they see rather then what they do.

so pay more attention. he'll improve on the artwork later.

roxasreaper responds:

thank you man, and yes i know the art could be better but you know lol these things dont improve over night

hmmmm

It was ok... but it was slow... realllyyy slow.

the guy seemed to be "walking" away from the zombies, or even limping. whereas the zombies seemed to be running at him.

the bullets flew really slow as well. but the damage was appropriate for some of them but.

the shotgun only fires 1 bullet... what?
the MP5 is automatic but... it fires really slow. slower then pistol
The flamethrower was pretty good. always fun to set zombie on fire.
I didn't bother to check the rest.

I'll give you a break sense its your first game. but only this once.

I the lord am but a pawn of a greater lord.
