intro

the intro seems fine.

the only point I noticed where it seemed wrong was between 00:15 and 00:20 where you went off from the main beat of the intro in a weird way.

If you want I can probly figure out a nice way to come off of that main beat on my keyboard without putting in a 2nd instrument.

just work with different things and see what sounds best.

but your intro is for the most part fine. idk why you don't like it.

I had to rewind it 3 times to hear what >I< percieved as wrong. but I'm sure this is a minor problem for such a great piece of work.

let the votes speak for the true quality of the song, everyone loves it so you must not have done much wrong. But if your really dead set on changing that intro.

I agree about the section between :15 and :20, and am glad you pointed it out! The rhythm prior to it was more syncopated/off beat, so I can see how it may sound odd switching to a more "straight" rhythym so quickly. I've yet to figure out how to make it satisfactory, and would love to hear any suggestions that you may have.

I hated the intro at first, but have actually come to like it as of late. I tend to change my mind very quickly. :P The only part I'd change is the section you mentioned, along with those blasted grace notes in the left hand at 1:14 and 1:24.

Take Me Across is the actual name. When I submitted the song originally, I put the wrong name in. When it hit #1, I noticed that, but couldn't change it.

I haven't made it big in the music on newgrounds thing yet, but that's not my goal. I'm aiming just to make music people will enjoy.

Sounds awesome man, really hits what your keywords are.

the last note sounds fine.

you just have to listen to it a few times for the net lag to let it loop more fluently.
Thats one thing I notice with all your loops, the net always lags it the first time it loops so I gotta wait for the 2nd or 3rd in some cases 4th time in order for it to sound fluent.

Btw what program are you using for this? i walla say FLS but it doesn't sound like FLS.

Very nice

Its reassuring to see someone thats had so many bad votes break through the noob voters and onto the front page.

The beat was very good, really catchy, and would be a really good background for a game.

the loop is good but its not solid, change the beginning a little so it loops correctly and it'll be platinum. (better then gold)

I could listen to this all day man.

it would go great with some intense fighting games like AC4, Gears of war, and a few others.

btw.

@ConnieB: this is a little to intense for starfox64, I remember that it was as intense the 2nd time around. only the big open battle under the mothership was really intense but thats it.

try going through the tunnel after beating "Whats-his-face" the final boss.

use your brakes continuously until you lose site of Fox's dad then navigate your way out.

I did it by accident so I wouldn't run into him and lose a wing, but I >Lost him< I still managed to navigate my way out though, it was hard.

S-1 (what you have here)

S-2 (beginning repeated)

S-3 (light build up with variation on piano tune)

S-4 (Embellishment and heavy build up with beginning beat under it and pads in the background)

Comment: Perhaps you should add in a flute or other wind instrument for the build up.

S-5 (pads lighten first beat slightly louder with pads slowly calming down)

S-6 (pads stop completly, piano solo exactly same as first part of loop, end)

if it were earlier in the day I may be able to come up with something better but as for right now thats my best shot.

I think that this "blueprint" would work well. I would want to tweak a few details, of course, but it seems plausible. Thank you for the advice!

It's probably going to be a while before I rework this. I feel as though my composition skills aren't to the level I'd like. If I'm going to finish this, I want to do it right! :)

This is great...

has a slight religous feel to it, the other versions probly sound just as good.

I can't find a single thing wrong with this song at all.

and to be perfectly honest... I want to hear this when I die so i know where I'm going.

but lets not get to emotional, its a wonderful piece.

makes me sit and think if I'll ever be good enough for some of the people/things I care about.

lol there it goes again, anyways great piece, keep them coming, and I'll always have a good review for ya.

death is not the true end.

Her soul does live on in some form or another.

There are some things in the mortal world that cannot be destroyed. 1 of them is pure energy, the other is a soul, no matter what being it comes from.

Her soul lives on, one day when your life is nearing its intended end, she will be waiting for you. She will be waiting for you at a piano with a tune erady to celebrate your reunion.

But don't jump at death, she waits for you, she'd never wish death apon such a person as you.

Her death was intended, and nothing can change that. death is simply part of the cycle of life... the end of it yes but it is only the end of the body.

No matter what we do, at some rip-old age, usually at 100+ years old, if your healthy, your heart will eventually stop, or an organ will fail.

Its only human nature to feel selfish sorrow for her. But don't weep for the end of someone's life. But know there soul lives on some how, some way. and possible, lives on in a new body.

One thing is certain.

Your love is indented in the fabric of her being, even if she was so young as 23. No matter what form she takes, she will always find her way back to you.
Love has a way of bringing 2 true loves back together no matter how far apart.

I know I sound crazy but I just found mine for the 10th time... hopefully this time she'll stay alive for me.

don't ask me how I know this, its very complicated, all I know is I am 560yo, and very few details about my death in each life before, in some cases I can't remember them all.

but I do know my love died in nearly all my past lives, except those where I died first...

i guess i'm not good to put my feelings into words ... i don't know for sure what is happening with soul, heaven, God ... still, i was quite a religious person before
well, for sure, death is not the end
the end is when everybody forget you ... this can happen also when you are still alive
